Old Man of the Mountain

As many are aware, the Old Man of the mountain fell from it's perch high above Franconia Notch in New Hampshire during the night on May 2, 2003. It was discovered missing on the morning of May 3, 2003 by park workers who were beginning their day. No one knows the exact time that it came down. The Old Man of the Mountain is/was the symbol for the state of New Hampshire. There is currently talk about an attempt to restore it, but a decision has not been firmly reached at this time.

This is my tribute to the great loss the state of New Hampshire suffered when it came toppling down.
