Since Wachusett is so close to my home (15-20 minutes), I have skied there quite a bit.  This Trail Map is not dated, but I know it is from the  mid 80's, shortly after the expansion.  When this map was made there was only a double servicing the summit.  The Intermediate Lift was called the Nor'easter and was a triple.  Both of these lifts are now High Speed Detachable Quads and they have moved the triple to the learning hill to replace the Monadnock Double. The original Base Lodge was now the Rental shop and had not yet been expanded to house the ski school, Nursery and other services.
