Lodge, Snowmaking and Rental Shop Renovations

Renovations in the lodge

Though I do not know exactly what the plans are, they must be pretty big.  The stair cases have been removed from the center of the lodge and work has begun on the second floor.  There is a nice new bar being built and the wall that separated sections of the upstairs have been removed.  Rumor has it that the stair case will not be put back into the center of the room, thus opening up space on both levels of the lodge.   Some work has also been done to the lodge entryway.

Snowmaking System gets repairs

Over the summer new pipes for the snowmaking system were installed.  The communications system and wiring for the lift was also repaired and buried.

Fire Strikes Rental Shop

The rental shop was damaged in  a severe Thunderstorm which passed through the area in August of 2004.  Fortunately, Barre Fire Department was quick to respond and the fire was contained in the boot fitting area.  Ski Equipment was not damaged.

The fire did cause significant damage to the fitting area, however, and repairs were required.  The rest of the building did sustain some smoke and water damage.
